A note from Heather

Children, Adolescent, Teen, Adult & EMDR Trained Therapist

Finding the right therapist is an important step, and I’m glad you’re here. I’m Heather, a compassionate and strengths‑based therapist with over 27 years of experience in the social work field and 10 years providing therapy to children, adolescents, families and  female adults. My approach is grounded in the belief that every person has inherent strengths, resilience and the capacity for meaningful change. Coming from humbled beginnings myself, I truly believe in the power of inner strength and resiliency and that every person has purpose, meaning and worth.

I utilize various therapeutic techniques in approaching treatment when working with children, teens and families. My background is in CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy) and trainings and certifications in Attachment Disorder, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and play therapy. These have been effective in working with clients and their families to reach their goals through nurturing, hope and healing.

Over the years, I’ve supported clients through a wide range of challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral concerns, parenting struggles, family conflict and life transitions and stressors. I work to create a safe, non‑judgmental space where you can feel heard, understood and empowered. My style is warm, collaborative and practical. I meet clients where they are and help them build on what is already working while developing new tools to navigate what is not. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, my goal is to help you move toward greater clarity, stability and well‑being. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
