A note from Liz
Child, Adolescent, & Teen Therapist
I have worked as a mental health therapist throughout my internship during graduate school, and I began practicing post-graduation in a school-based setting. I have experience providing services to children from kindergarten through middle school, and I look forward to expanding my reach. I found great healing, comfort, and self-discovery throughout my many years as a patient in therapy, and I wanted to help others find similar healing, joy, and peace. I provide services for Des Moines Public Schools and feel it is a privilege to be able to meet each client where they are, without judgment, and begin along the journey of transformation and healing.
I want to provide a safe space for all to feel comfortable sharing anything in a manner that is empathetic, compassionate, nonjudgmental, caring, and kind. Some of the main types of therapy that I incorporate into sessions are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, among others. I also like to incorporate writing, drawing, play, and other artistic activities.
