A note from Samantha

My name is Samantha, and I just moved to Iowa from Savannah, Georgia. I am fully licensed in both Georgia and Iowa as an LPC and LMHC. I have been working with children and adolescents my entire career, and I am thrilled to work in the schools once again! I was a school based therapist in Georgia working with elementary and high school students. I worked with many high-risk students regarding suicidal ideation and self-harm. I have experience regarding diagnoses such as major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and disruptive mood dysregulation disorder. I believe in building a strong rapport with clients and letting them know they always have choices in their life. My therapeutic approach is a blend of CBT, DBT, PCT, SFT, and some art therapy techniques. I am excited to continue my work in the schools and serve the community once again.
