A note from Alayna

Adult & EMDR Therapist

Therapy, to me, is a shared journey. Every person arrives with a story shaped by experiences, relationships, losses, hopes, and the quiet strength they may not yet recognize in themselves.

My role is to walk beside you as you make sense of those pieces — offering steadiness, compassion, and guidance while you move at a pace that feels right for you. I believe deeply that the ability to heal and grow is already within you, and together we work to uncover it.

My path as a clinician has taken me through more than 30 years of work in child welfare, acute medical settings, corrections, and private practice. These environments have shown me the many ways people endure, adapt, and find resilience even in moments that feel overwhelming. They’ve also taught me to listen closely — not just to the words someone speaks, but to the emotions and experiences beneath them.

Over the years, I’ve supported individuals facing grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and trauma connected to chronic and terminal illness, homicide, and suicide. I’ve worked with families navigating foster care and adoption, parents raising children with special needs, and adults encountering the complex realities that come with aging. Each person I’ve met has shaped the way I practice and the respect I hold for the courage it takes to seek help.

I am EMDR-trained and draw from trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused approaches, and mindfulness practices. I weave these together to create a space where you can feel grounded, understood, and empowered to move toward the life you want.

Most importantly, I look forward to hearing your story — and to being part of the next chapter you choose to write.
