A note from Lizzie

Children, Adolescent, Teen & young Adult Therapist

Hi! I’m a Temporary Licensed Mental Health Counselor (t-LMHC) with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand View University. I believe therapy should feel like a safe, welcoming space where you can show up exactly as you are—no judgment, no pressure, and no need to have everything figured out. My goal is to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves while taking steps toward healing and understanding.

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Play Therapy to create a person-centered approach that meets each client where they are. I have experience working with clients of all ages, but I especially enjoy working with children, adolescents, and young adults ages 3–20. I love getting creative in sessions and meeting clients where they are, whether that means talking things through, playing a game, drawing, building, or using a little imagination!

I believe therapy doesn’t always have to feel serious to be meaningful. Sometimes the biggest breakthroughs happen while laughing, playing, creating, or simply feeling heard. My hope is to help each client build confidence, develop helpful coping skills, better understand themselves, and feel supported as they navigate life’s ups and downs.
