A note from Mariah
Adult Therapist
My name is Mariah Jena and I am a temporary mental health clinical counselor. I graduated from Colorado Christian University with my bachelor’s in psychology with an emphasis on clinical counseling. I obtained my master’s degree in Mental Health Clinical Counseling from Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa.
I have seven years of experience working in the medical field and three years of experience working in mental health at Broadlawns Medical center where I learned the importance of therapy and the healing process. I practice from a CBT and person-centered therapy approach. It is my objective to create a safe and nonjudgmental space for adults to work through their traumas and challenges where we can collaboratively work towards goals and empower them to live more fulfilling lives.
I utilize an empathetic approach to guide self-exploration and personal growth. I have an interest in growing in my career and learning more about grief therapy and family systems therapy to extend my knowledge to serve a broader population and work with people from all walks of life towards their healing journey.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, camping, hiking, and enjoying the great outdoors.
